Last night, I finally got back to CrossFit New England after a month of excuses and bad health. Mat and I worked during the Olympic Lift hour and I will tell you my body was ready to fire. All of the potential energy that has been in the reserves ignited into kinetic energy. I didn’t break any records but I established PR’s for myself. I push pressed 75 lbs with a 45 lb bar and cleaned 85 lbs. Mat, my continued guardian angel has been calling me each week, and he was again there last night to on ramp me. Mat, thank you.
Today, tables are turned. “Goddamn you, MAT!” Mat led the 12 Days of CrossFit.

Unlike the song, CrossFit NE looked liked Bedlam. Body parts were jumping, slamming, grunting, swearing, dipping, flying, you name it. And, Mat was at the helm as Heather and Ben were partaking in this extraordinary testament to CrossFit Bacchanalia.
I think this is going to be a new classic.
I think the toughest part of this workout is keeping all of the drills in order. Too much to remember and with everyone dispersing every which way, one prone to distraction may find this challenging.
I think what stood out about the 12 Days of CrossFit was the ingenenuity. With minimal space and heavy weights flying, people took to using every part of the box to complete their routine. I saw people doing pushups in corners, ring dips on treadmills…the only thing missing was Tarzan.
